Its flexible non-woven disc adapts well to the surface, so as to ensure the creation of a homogeneous finish. The open structure of the flaps prevents clogging. Low heat generation prevents undesirable discolouration of the workpiece. In addition, you always have a clear view of the workpiece and thus have optimal control during preparation. Pre-polishing and finishing – Create optimal surface treatment quality Unitised discs: VKSS/VKSG Optimum revolutions 3600–4000 rpm VKSS/VKSG enables outstanding, almost ‘mirror finish’ surface treatment quality. It can be profiled and adapts optimally to the contours of the workpiece. Thanks to its rugged structure, the VKSS/VKSG is suitable for long-term usage and is the perfect pre-polishing step. High-gloss polishing – Give your workpieces a perfect mirror finish. Non-woven flap discs with polishing pastes: FLS & PASTE Optimum revolutions 1600 rpm As the last step in the polishing process, FLS creates a perfect mirror finish. A wide variety of materials such as stainless steel and non-ferrous metals can be processed by using various grinding pastes. Highly flexible flaps made from wool felt adapt to the contours of the workpiece. The special structure of the FLS ensures a cool polish during processing and avoids undesirable discolourations. As a general rule, we recommend using a variable angle polisher for steps 1 to 3, so as to achieve optimum working results. Page 125 Page 182 Page 184 1. Pre-polishing 2.
