This grinding process achieves optimal and stress free delivery of glass edges within the shortest cycle times and minimizes the quantity of required abrasive material. The grinding belts automatically adjust fully to the respective sheet size and thickness. The width of the grinding edge is adjustable from 0.5 mm to 2 mm. Water is used to cool and clean the diamond belts. Additional spray nozzles remove glass dust residue from the sheet edge and reduce the flow of these particles into downstream systems. Even for thick window or laminated glass edges this flexible belt grinding principle yields good results in contrast to machines equipped with diamond wheels. Automatic seaming lines are available as vertical or horizontal operating machines.
